Meet the staff
Dr. Alex is privileged to have a qualified and committed staff, many of whom have been with him for a number of years. The staff includes Debbie Mills, Jacalynne Spooner-Scott,  Leslie Tarkin, Nicole Rubino, and Kathryn Cantor. 

Leslie Tarkin is a certified dental assistant. She graduated from a two year dental assistant program and has been working in the field since 1976. Leslie has taken numerous continuing education courses. She is proficient in all areas of lab procedures, digital x-rays and whitening. Leslie makes the patient comfortable with her bubbly personality and sense of humor. Leslie lives in Centerport with her husband, son and two cats.

Debbie Mills has 20 years experience as a dental hygienist. She has worked for Dr Alex for 24 years. Debbie is a member of ADHA and is certified to administer nitrous oxide and anesthesia. She has served on the Hygiene advisory panel for 3M ESPE dental. Debbie is married with two children and two grandchildren and lives in Huntington.

Jacalynne Spooner-Scott is the latest edition to the office team and has over 12 years experience as a Dental Receptionist and Office Manager. With a degree in Hospitality Management from NY Institute of Technology, she enjoys interacting and utilizing her managerial and strong interpersonal skills to create a welcoming and efficient atmosphere. Jackie takes pride in maximizing patient procedures in a personable professional manner.  Jackie currently resides with her husband in Huntington.

Nicole Rubino was the owner of the Emerald Door Salon and Day Spa. When she decided to sell her business and seek a career change Dr. Alex, recognizing her work ethic, organizational and people skills, and positive personality, was delighted to make her part of his office team.  Nicole is currently in a Dental Assisting program and will become a Certified Dental Assistant upon completion of the program.  She was married in May of 2011 and she and her husband reside in Commack.
